ANGLIA STEEL
Background
Anglia Steel Industries Ltd. established its headquarters in Calgary in 1984 and has been supplying steel framework for various industries in Western Canada to this day. Many shopping centres, schools, office buildings and warehouses depend on Anglia’s quality work and dependable service.
Challenge
With a fleet of 13 vehicles transporting fabricated metal products to customer work sites, Anglia Steel was looking to employ a monitoring system that could help track vehicles, provide additional safety to employees traveling in rural areas and control escalating fuel costs. Having cultivated a sterling reputation for timely deliveries and a commitment to customer service, it also wanted a system that could help automate its delivery process and improve its on-time performance.
“We also knew that our fuel costs were higher than they could be, but didn’t know exactly how to best improve this issue”
– Terence Schofield , Safety Officer at Anglia Steel
“In keeping with our reputation for strong customer service, we wanted to improve our tracking capabilities over our fleet. This would help to shorten delivery windows and ensure our customer deliveries were as efficient as possible,” noted Terence Schofield, Safety Officer at Anglia Steel. “We thought that any tracking system that could do what we wanted would cost thousands and thousands of dollars a month and just wouldn’t be worth the investment.”
Solution
Anglia Steel worked with Fleet Complete to deploy a real-time fleet management and tracking solution. Anglia Steel is taking full advantage of the Web-based solution to help streamline operations and boost productivity. “With the quick and smooth product installation, we were able to easily implement Fleet Complete into our daily operations,” says Schofield.
“While it is fully customizable, it is also user-friendly and is created with the average person in mind. During the first few weeks, I worked on remote access with my sales representative to ensure it was working to best meet my company’s needs.”
– Terence Schofield
The Fleet Complete hardware is mounted and hidden within the dashboard in all 13 vehicles, from Anglia’s large welding trucks to its delivery vehicles. Schofield accesses the software through a variety of channels to ensure updates can be monitored remotely, from office computers, laptops with wireless signals, to mobile devices when on job sites. Schofield is able to track vehicle location and speed as well as accurately plan the most efficient routes from point A to B.
Benefits
With Fleet Complete in place, Anglia Steel is realizing a host of business benefits. The company can now easily look-up vehicle location and status in real-time, helping provide up-to-the-minute insight into its fleet and offer an extra degree of driver safety. By utilizing Fleet Complete’s reports on driver behaviour, Terence Schofield is able to capture more accurate information on speeds and time flow to assist in new customer quoting and up-to-minute delivery-based information.
“The ability to keep a better handle on our fleet locations at all times helps us better track the driver hours to reduce the amount of overtime as well as ensure a more effective resource planning and allocation. Since drivers often visit remote locations and drive during off-peak hours, Fleet Complete also provides us with an added level of safety for our employees.”
– Terence Schofield
Anglia Steel is making use of Fleet Complete’s enhanced reporting features to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Having a greater insight into daily driver speeds and driver activity, the company was able to implement new policies for driving speed and activity, while maintaining delivery schedules that led to a 10% reduction in fuel costs. “Using Fleet Complete has essentially paid for itself time and time again. Reducing our fuel costs has an obvious and immediate impact to our bottom line,” says Schofield.
“We currently have 13 vehicles with the Fleet Complete solution installed. We’ve since had two vehicles stolen and one in an accident. We’ve been able to recover all three vehicles using the GPS tracking capabilities,” says Schofield. “Our immediate ROI with Fleet Complete has been huge. In the past, we may not have even found these vehicles for months, which would have cost us around $160,000 to replace.”
The company is also using Fleet Complete to help reduce maintenance costs by establishing rules for vehicles in terms of the optimal amount of operation hours between services. For a growing company, reduction of these expenses has a significant impact on company’s success and future prosperity.
“Our immediate ROI with Fleet Complete has been huge. In the past, we may not have even found [lost or stolen] vehicles for months which would have cost us around $160,000 to replace.”

CARPASS
Located just outside of Sydney, Australia, CarPass provides rental vehicles to Uber drivers and other ride-sharing companies. With almost 200 cars across New South Wales, the visibility of their fleet is critical. Not only does Fleet Complete provide the real-time data to ensure drivers are safe at all times, but also the ability to proactively manage maintenance and ensure vehicles are protected. Added benefit – thanks to data-backed information shared with their insurance, CarPass has the most competitive pricing in the market!
What They Do
“At CarPass, we rent cars to Uber drivers or people who want to participate in the sharing economy and we’ve gotten now just shy of two hundred cars.”
“We own the assets, so it was really important to us that we knew – at any time of the day – where the assets were. The other important part of our business is being proactive with our servicing, so for us, we’re not waiting for our customers to tell us when they need it – we can be proactive and on top of that ourselves.”
User Experience
“It’s user intuitive, so you know for us it’s sort of – click, click, click – and everything is there, it makes it really simple for us to navigate. We need to know where the cars are if the drivers are driving safe and, obviously, how long cars are being driven for.”
“There is quite a good correlation between how long they’re driving, how many kilometers they’re doing, so obviously we want to make sure these drivers are driving safe, because that helps our safety ratings and our insurance. So that’s really important to us.”
Benefits
“We’ve actually had two cars stolen and recovered. If you look at losing two cars, that’s anywhere a roughly $60,000 hit to our business, a hit to our insurance – and that’s quite significant in a small business environment. Our premiums would have gone up double or three times next year. So that alone has saved us a truckload.”
We actually share Fleet Complete with our insurance company, so they can see as well. The reason why our prices are so competitive in the market is the fact that we have this risk bracket, and if you don’t fit that risk bracket, then unfortunately we have to ask you to leave our platform. So all those metrics and all those things come together and that’s why we can keep our prices as they are.”
Favorite Feature
“One of our favorite features is the breadcrumb trail, because we can see exactly event by event what’s happened. Then we correlate that with our dashcam footage – we have in all our cars. We send that to our insurance company, and that’s pretty much a nice little package that they can take – if it’s third-party at fault, then we know exactly, and I can say “Look, this is what happened…”, so everything about the platform we love.”

J.R. COMPANY
Who They Are & What They Do
J.R. Company GmbH is a courier and delivery service company, headquartered in Karlsdorf, Austria. Founded in 2002 and partnered with UPS since 2004, J.R. Company services Styria, Carinthia and East Tyrol. As the company has grown to its current size of around 180 employees and a fleet of 120 vehicles, their service offerings have extended to include vehicle rental and auto repair and maintenance services.
What They Were Looking For
With a growing fleet, J.R. Company was looking for a solution to help manage their fuel and maintenance costs.
“Before implementing the system, we could not evaluate driving behavior. I was wondering how to save fuel costs. And then I recognized that the only solution would be a GPS system,” says Günter Flicker, Fleet Manager at J.R. Company.
Optimizing route efficiency was also a priority, as it helps not only save time and reduce maintenance needs, but also is environmentally friendly. Johann Reisinger, Founder of J.R Company, says, “We deliver 5,000-6,000 packages a day. It is very important for us to be sustainable for the future.”
Solution & Benefits
With the use of the Fleet Tracker, Reisinger says, “We can plan better, better organize the routes, put fewer kilometers on the road, and see a great deal of savings.”
Flicker echoes these sentiments, adding, “With the Fleet Tracker, I have details such as drivers’ speed and speeding violations, acceleration habits, sharp turns, and idling time. I can explain these things to the drivers and see how their driving actually improves every week as a result.”
He continues, “Since implementing this system, we have reduced vehicle wear and tear by 30%. We’ve seen how the amount of vehicle maintenance required is directly correlated with the driver’s behaviour, and we’ve benefited from a cost reduction of up to 50%.”
J.R. Company has saved a significant amount on fuel since incorporating the Fleet Tracker. Flicker breaks it down, saying, “Our fleet drives about 26,000 kilometers in total per day, putting our fuel costs at approximately 3,500 euros daily. Thanks to the Fleet Tracker, we save between 300 to 400 euros a day, annually reducing our fuel cost by 10% – which amounts to savings of up to 90,000 euros a year.”
Ultimately, the Fleet Tracker has enhanced the overall function of J.R. Company, reducing fuel and maintenance costs, optimizing routes, and improving driver performance.

PREMIER TRUCK RENTAL
Who They Are & What They Do
PTR Premier Truck Rental (PTR) started as a small rental company, with just a couple of trucks and, gradually over the years, expanded to thousands of vehicles in their rental fleet. Today, PTR services critical industries nationwide like construction, pipeline, power transmission, renewables, as well as just general customers that need a rental truck for a set period of time.
Not only they have custom equipment and add-on to outfit your truck rental, they also have unique vehicles like Fat Truck that set them apart from the competition.
Jordan Burke from PTR explains with a smile: “Fat Truck is new to our fleet. They are a fully amphibious vehicle that can go on any terrain and take you anywhere you might need to go. The most common use is in the power transmission industry. They use this vehicle for exploration, when they need to go out to a job site and when they’re looking at putting a new transmission line in. This truck will take them anywhere they need to go, through any terrain to get there to lay out the job and any obstacle that’s in its path, it’s no problem for this thing.”
Craig Carroll from PTR adds, “Fat Truck fits into our product offerings because we service a lot of utility, transmission and distribution companies. A lot of them are off the grid when they service a transmission line or a tower. This thing can get them there if it’s flooded – it’ll float right through it. If it’s muddy, this thing will get traction and make it there.”
What They Were Looking For
Since PTR is a rental company and have many different clients nationwide, they needed to be able to provide certain tracking and locating capabilities to their customers who are using their equipment and vehicles, as well as for themselves to be able to monitor the wear and tear of their rented assets.
JB: “We teamed up with Fleet Complete for better tracking. It’s more accurate and gives us more information to help our customers.”
CC: “For fleet tracking, we used a competitor before and weren’t getting the results. We definitely needed to find a solution that was all-encompassing, and that can tell us if there’re any service errors on any vehicles, check engine light, and so on. That’s where Fleet Complete came in.”
“Since we rent our trucks, we’re not the end-user. Fleet Complete was able to modify their system to work with us so that both our customers can use Fleet Complete, and we can also use Fleet Complete. That’s where we really loved Fleet Complete compared to the competitor.”
“We use our own unit numbers, and Fleet Complete allows us to rename our vehicles so we can easily search them based on the unit numbers within our ERP system. It allows our team members to easily find any unit on demand.”
“We get reports when there’s a field service issue. When there’s a unit that breaks down in the field, we can see exactly where it’s at, and we can quickly get somebody out there, if needed. Or we can point them to the nearest service center. It gets them back on the road quicker.”
Rollout Experience & Implementation
CC: “During the rollout, we started with a couple of customers at first, and then we expanded to our whole fleet. We didn’t have any downtime, so everything was smooth and we did not have any issues. It looks very modern, very well done, intuitive, easy to use.”
“From customer service to developers, who were working together with our developers to develop the API that integrates right into our system, Fleet Complete has been fabulous and by far superior to any competitor.”
JB: “The rollout process was easy. All we had to do was install the GPS units in the trucks, and our insurance coordinator, who handles the Fleet Complete platform, she enters all the information into the system and then can track all the units for us.”
“We do it by the unit number, so if we ever need a reference that unit in the future, we can just type in the unit number on Fleet Complete’s web app and pull up all the information we need for it.”
“The software is very advanced from what I’ve used. Navigating through Fleet Complete online is very easy: You just type in your unit information, it pulls it for us, and we’re able to get whatever we need from it.”
Benefits Of Using Fleet Tracking Software
PTR sees many measurable results post-implementation – from controlling excessive idling to stolen vehicle recovery to improved customer service and maintenance of their fleet.
Locating
JB: “I see it as a valuable asset to our business because we can provide better customer service to our clients when we can locate a vehicle for them. In my department, when a truck breaks down in the field, we can pinpoint it and see where it’s at.”
“Certain areas of West Texas, where directions don’t get you anywhere, we need an actual location. We can pull latitude and longitude, give that to the tow company, and they can get the vehicle moved to a dealer.”
Idling & Maintenance
“When I use Fleet Complete and when my team members use it, it’s easy for us to pull diagnostic codes, current mileage, idle hours. In our fleet, idle hours is a big concern that we watch a lot, because idle hours have an effect on overall wear and tear of the motor.”
“We get a report when a unit has a lot of idle time on it. We pull that report and then we can reach out to the customer and say, “Hey, this unit is idling a lot. You might want to check with your crew why is it idling so much.””
“Another measurable benefit for us would be service intervals. That’s a big thing. When we can get on and track the mileage since the last service… We actually use it for tires too, because we can replay certain trips in certain terrains. We can use the Breadcrumb Trail feature: We can go back and see what kind of terrain they’re driving on – if they’re driving on roadways that are heavy stone and have excess wear on the tires, we can see all that through the reporting feature.”
CC: “For maintenance tracking, we do a lot of mileage and Fleet Complete helps us with odometer readings. There comes a point where, in our fleet, we have to retire vehicles, so the unit is sent to auction and the odometer reading lets us know when that time is perfect. It’s always good to keep an eye on that.”
Recovering Stolen Vehicles
CC: “We’ve had occasions where some trucks have been stolen, and we were able to recover them with the use of Fleet Complete.”
JB: “A couple of months ago, we had a unit that was stolen. The customer called me directly and said, “Hey, my truck just got stolen. Can you locate it for me?””
“I was able to go on Fleet Complete and locate the vehicle. It was already parked at an apartment complex, and we called the authorities. The authorities wanted to know where the unit was. I gave them the address. I said – it’s at this apartment complex, fourth parking spot on the left. And when the law enforcement showed up, it was sitting there.”
Customer Service
CC: “Our customers know that a tracking device is there and it’s always on. Many people like to use it to see where their units are, if there is any downtime – why is the unit sitting there for so long. They want to keep their fleet moving. We also like to let them know if something has been sitting for a while, so we can, if need be, offer them a better solution.”
JB: “We’re actually looking at integrating BigRoad for our own fleet that we use to transport vehicles for us from our yards to the job – for the state line miles and all the IFTA paperwork logging. All that is done through BigRoad and that saves us a lot of headaches. That’s also a possibility for our customers that we could roll that out to them if they’re using us for Fleet Complete on heavier duty stuff so that they could do the IFTA through it.”

WILLIAMS TOWING LTD.
Background
Based in Markham, Ontario, Williams Towing Service is a family owned and operated company that has been providing experienced, professional towing services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) since 1976. As one of the top towing companies in the region, the business continues to grow. The firm presently has a fleet of more than 40 vehicles, servicing the needs of all major Canadian auto clubs, and is contracted by Toronto Police Services and Toronto EMS.
Challenge
For Williams Towing, business is 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. With the number of motor vehicles on the road growing exponentially, towing and roadside services are in demand more than ever before. The call volume from drivers needing assistance is steady and consistent – and the company does what’s necessary to keep up.
“The towing business is an extremely competitive one and we’re proud to have built a strong reputation for staying ahead of the game,” says Jack Blue, VP and Manager of Operations, Williams Towing Ltd. “These days, customers expect a fast response time and, usually, don’t want to wait.”
A lot of towing firms still rely on old-school two-way radios and paper-based processes to dispatch calls to towing operators. These days, however, response times need to be immediate or you risk losing customers in the process. Williams Towing determined that it needed to use the latest technology tools to gain greater efficiency and a competitive edge.
“We dispatch our trucks from a central location, but it’s often difficult to know exactly where the trucks are at any given time in the day,” says Blue. “It has really become critical to us to know where trucks are in real-time, so we can maximize the productivity of each vehicle and improve our response times out in the field.”
Solution
The implementation of tracking system began in January of 2009 deploying Fleet Trackers across 38 of Williams Towing trucks. The Fleet Complete IoT platform collects vital in-field information on vehicle status and location and displays it to the dispatchers stationed at the firm’s head office. This has significantly reduced the amount of time and effort spent on locating and dispatching the closest available vehicle for a job. Having real-time tracking and status reporting information at the tip of their fingers, dispatchers make quicker on-demand decisions and are able to handle more tasks.
Williams Towing is using Fleet Complete’s customized alerts that appear on the fleet manager’s screen and are sent to an email and a mobile phone when a triggering event occurs. This keeps the fleet managers in the loop when adverse driver’s behavior may be detrimental to the overall vehicle’s health.
Benefits
Williams Towing saw immediate results in the way dispatching process has evolved. There was no more time spent on two-way calls and radio communication between the drivers and the dispatchers. The fleet’s location now became fully visible to the dispatchers who wasted no time on organizing most productive work flow.
“Dispatcher feedback is excellent, because they live and die with it every day, they know exactly where their trucks are and they can dispatch them much more efficiently than they could before. And our drivers now know that they can be more accountable and productive,” says Blue.
The fleet managers are motivating the drivers to be more responsible for their actions and the level of productivity by overseeing the reports on each vehicle’s activities, such as speeding, idling and unauthorized use. Drivers are now more conscious of the effect that seemingly little details have on the overall state of the vehicle and company’s expenses. This reinforces all employees to follow the company procedures and helps reduce undesirable expenditures.
“Dispatch can quickly enter the address of the call and we know exactly which tow driver can respond to calls the fastest. In a fast-paced industry, we’re confident in saying that using Fleet Complete makes us more competitive and 50% more efficient,”
– Jack Blue
“I like the idea that Fleet Complete sends real-time alerts to the head office and lets me know where the trucks are at any given time,” says Blue. “What’s also great is that we can track speed, idling and also closely monitor which trucks are due for service. This ensures that our fleet can be in top operational condition at all times.”
We dispatch our trucks from a central location, but it’s often difficult to know exactly where trucks are at any given time in the day,

Boers GbR
What They Were Looking For
With a diverse fleet, Boers was finding it difficult to keep track of machinery, customer projects, and how much time was being spent with a customer.
When asked about their challenges, Andreas Boers described, “It was more effort because a lot of information had to be compiled manually and written on paper,” Boers continued, “With all of our machines, we were looking for a better way to use them more efficiently, but also make the whole operation cost effective.
Boers needed a solution that would eliminate manual processes. Moving to automated data collection would allow them to:
- optimize the use of vehicles and machines,
- increase billing accuracy,
- respond faster to customer requests,
- reduce operation costs.
Solution & Benefits
With the implementation of Fleet Complete’s Drive & Track, Boers were able to achieve the automation they were looking for. “It gives me security that I have certain data that I can use,” Boers said about the Fleet Complete solution.
With data automation, Boers was able to streamline many of its processes. For one, invoicing became much more efficient.
“At the end of the day, we can trace back what work has been done and what hours were needed,” said Boers. “This helps us generate more accurate invoices. It acts as evidence to the customer of where the work has been completed and for how long the job lasted.”
Along with invoicing, keeping track of company vehicles and machines was also simplified with Drive & Track. “Our machines are more efficient now. We can plan and understand routes better,” said Boers. “You don’t have to make a phone call anymore and ask, ‘are you at the location?'”
Theft prevention is another benefit to their efficient vehicle and machine tracking. Boers referred to this perk, saying, “By implementing Drive & Track, the machines do not move at unauthorized times or leave our operational area without our knowledge.”
Ultimately, Fleet Complete has helped increase the overall efficiency of Boers by improving invoice procedures, optimizing the use of vehicles and machines, preventing theft, and reducing operating costs.

The MGS10 was installed into approximately 125 Waternet company cars a number of years ago. Recently, Waternet decided to equip another 250 cars with an on-board computer.
A secure system that reduces paperwork and generates reports that meet the tax authority requirements
“The tax authorities make us register all trips with company cars in minute detail,” Hassan Faiq, coordinator for Vehicles, Equipment & Materials at Waternet explains. “Previously, the mechanics wrote down the mileage registration on a form with a pen. But mechanics generally have a dislike for writing. They, more often than not, filled in their trip status incorrectly. Now we have a secure system, with reports that the tax authorities accept. The mechanics are also satisfied as they have much less paperwork to do.”
Clear and transparent
Waternet is very happy with Fleet Complete’s Fleet Tracker solution. Which is why they decided to equip another 250 company cars with a Fleet Tracker. Hassan Faiq of Waternet states: “No more discussions with the tax authorities. No more discussions with employees. The system simply provides a lot of clarity.”

Fleet Complete Launches Unified Solution for Managing EV Adoption in Mixed Fleets
TORONTO – April 30, 2024– Fleet Complete, a global leader in connected fleet management solutions, announced an exciting step forward in fleet electrification by making the transition to electric vehicles (EV) even simpler. Fleet Complete now offers advanced support for OEM connected EVs, further demonstrating its commitment to optimizing fleet management for mixed fleet operations.
Fleet Complete users across North America can access comprehensive EV data directly from OEM connected vehicles, within a unified fleet management system, known as FC Hub. Fleet Complete’s all-in-one platform seamlessly integrates fleet insights like routes, events, rules, and alerts, in real-time, from select OEM EV and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
“With a growing list of OEM partnerships and integrated solutions, Fleet Complete is helping fleet managers better manage their mixed fleet operations. By leveraging OEM embedded systems in newer vehicles and equipment, businesses can access richer data on their fleet’s safety, compliance, and sustainability analytics.” said Tony Lourakis, CEO of Fleet Complete.
The business case for OEM integrated solutions for commercial fleets is clear. By reducing the costs associated with hardware and device installations, and vehicle downtime. You can keep your drivers and vehicles on the road, while you deploy scalable, future-ready solutions.
Providing further detail, Frank Friesacher, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Fleet Complete, explained during the NAFA 2024 Institute and Expo in San Antonio, “Navigating the transition to fleet electrification can feel daunting to fleet managers. Managing high initial costs, range anxiety, and integrating new technologies into traditional workflows can fuel hesitations. But with the right strategy and fleet management system, EV fleets can reduce their carbon emissions, fuel dependence and maintenance costs. They can also build brand reputation for employees and forward-looking customers and streamline reporting on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) goals.”

Managing Corporate Fleet through Carsharing

Telia Eesti is Estonia’s leading IT and telecommunications company, with a mission to further the development of society and make Estonia a better place to live and work. As a company, Telia Eesti is committed to using technology to make people’s lives – including their 1600 employees – easier and more convenient.
This is why their Daring Goals 2030 include:
- Zero CO2 throughout their value chain
- Zero Waste: circular economy business model
- 100% Action through team effort for all people of Telia Eesti (employees, partners and, hopefully, customers)
The organization has laid out very concrete and clear plans to achieve their 2030 goals and, according to Mari-Liis Vihul, head of the administrative department at Telia Eesti, in 5 years, their vehicle fleet will be CO2-free.
How will they achieve that? Mari-Liis elaborates:
“We have agreed that, from now on, we buy only electric cars – no hybrids, no fossils – only electric. For charging EVs, we’ll use only green energy – wind and water. Also, we share our fleet with all Telia employees – even for private use, so you don’t need to have your own.”
“We’ll supplement it by using only electric taxis and a differenced personal car compensation system as of 2025. This means that, as an employee, if you drive a fossil car, you’ll get less commute compensation than the ones who drive electric cars.”
Employee Carsharing – “Pool car system”
Telia Eesti’s corporate fleet consists of approximately 150 vehicles across Estonia, and 10 of them are used today for carsharing.
“We call them ‘pool cars’,” Mari-Liis explains, “this means that everybody can book a car from the office and use it for their personal needs. That also helps us get rid of cars that are not used frequently.”
“Employees can only use N1 category cars – which are light vehicles – and as long as they fill out their business-vs-private logbook, the Estonian tax benefit system supports this, at the moment, acting this way only with N1 cars.”
Although the frequency of car use has dropped significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the stay-at-home orders, but even under those circumstances Telia’s shared fleet collected 968 bookings and drove 110,043 km in a 5-month period.
Here are some quick usage stats for Telia Eesti carsharing from January 2021 to May 2021.
- Cars available to book: 10
- Bookings: 968
- Number of trips: 4032
- Number of booked hours: 12 934
- Total km: 110 043
Telia Eesti Carsharing Usage Chart by Fleet Complete: Jan 1, 2021 – May 31, 2021 Period
How does Telia use Fleet Complete’s Carsharing solution?
The concept of car sharing is not new, and Telia has been doing corporate car sharing for the past 10 years. What is new is the use of technology to simplify the process of booking administration, use differentiation, and keyless car entry.
“In the last eight months,” Mari-Liis clarifies, “we have updated the whole carsharing system on an organizational level. Today, we synchronize Telia’s active directory information with Fleet Complete platform to enable login with Telia account for employees.”
Employees download the Fleet Complete Carsharing app and use it to:
- Book a car
- Open car doors with the app
- Drive
- Annotate business or personal use in the automated logbook
“Every week, employees who have used the cars get a message to look over their last week’s driving trips and mark if they were for private use or for business.”
“At the end of the month, data from Fleet Complete is sent to Telia’s payroll, and the costs for private trips are deducted from the employee salaries. Similarly, company car usage costs come to managers so that they can check if those are correct.”
Why is corporate carsharing good for the company?
Photo: Courtesy of Telia Eesti
- Carsharing helps optimize costs through more efficient use.
- Car decals act as brand advertisement while driving through city streets.
- Gives employees opportunity to test out electric cars.
“It’s good for the employees as it gives them the possibility to really try a new type of cars – as the electric cars are really new today on the market – and a lot of people haven’t tried them before. It also lets them get used to the charging systems.”
“Another plus side,” adds Mari-Liis, “if you live in the city center, then you can give up having your own car because you know you can always book one from the office.”
“So it’s really good for the company, it’s great for the employees, and it’s good for the environment.”
How do Telia employees feel about the new Carsharing system?
“The new system has been implemented about 8 months ago during the COVID-19 pandemic, so due to office closures, only 15% of employees, or 240 users, have had a chance to try it – and they rate it as really good.”
“We’re working with the Fleet Complete team every day to finetune the system, and I’m more than sure that in a couple of months it will be perfect.”
