Fleet Complete & Greater Toronto's Top Employers 2021 banner.

Toronto (December 4, 2020) – For the fifth year in a row, Fleet Complete, a global provider of connected mobility solutions, is among this year’s winners of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers 2021.

The award recognizes the company as one of the most resilient and innovative employers in the GTA. The company’s workplace programs allowed it to move quickly in response to a drastic change like the pandemic and continue to grow sustainably while supporting employees.

“We are honoured to be on the Greater Toronto’s Top Employers list for the fifth year in a row,” says Tony Lourakis, CEO of Fleet Complete. “This year has been particularly challenging for so many Canadian businesses in light of the global pandemic. It shifted many paradigms and forced new workplace policies, where new approaches were required to remain operational. It is encouraging to see that there are still many businesses in the GTA that continue to offer great employment opportunities and growth to local talent. This is a way forward in helping recover our economy and country.”

This year marked Fleet Complete’s 20th anniversary in the telematics industry as a world-class provider of connected mobility solutions across the globe. Headquartered in Toronto, the company has offices in 14 countries and over 700 employees worldwide.

“One of the biggest challenges for employers across the GTA this year is adapting rapidly to the changes that took place in how we live and work,” says Kristina Leung, Senior Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project at Mediacorp. “For a region as diverse and dynamic as the GTA, this year’s winners have found creative ways to keep employees engaged and connected, even when working apart.”

“This competition always strikes a chord with our editorial team and with me personally,” says Anthony Meehan, Publisher at Mediacorp. “It’s hard not to be impressed by the dynamism of employers that make their home in the GTA, and by the remarkably diversified economy they have created.  In a year that will be seared in most of our memories by the pandemic and the difficult social questions it raised, these employers remind us why we choose to make this place our home. The winners are often peerless in their own fields – but this year we also saw how they have placed the welfare of their employees and health of their community at the heart of their organizational purpose.”

2021 competition
Now in its 15th year, the Greater Toronto’s Top Employers competition is an editorial project that recognizes employers with exceptional human resources programs and forward-thinking workplace policies. Editors at Mediacorp review employers on eight criteria, which have remained consistent since the project’s inception: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. The editors publish detailed ‘reasons for selection’ for these criteria, providing transparency in the selection of winners and a catalogue of best practices for employers and job-seekers alike.
