Motorola/iDEN phones enable dispatchers to send detailed information
to a mobile resource’s phone. Resources
use their phone device to accept new tasks and to update the status
of tasks. In addition, an optional “clip-on”
barcode scanner, is available, enabling mobile resources to scan
goods at the time of pickup or delivery valid-
ating that the correct goods are being delivered to the appropriate
